Mesa Jubaí follows the frequent inspiration of my work in the incredible forms of nature, especially trees. This time the species that gave rise to the design of Jubaí was the combed tree present on the small coast of Piauí, which lay down with the constant force of the wind. The creation process follows the sequence of my sculptural creations, starting with exploratory sketches followed by modeling the piece in full scale for formal study. From the mold, the wood is cut, glued and pressed, followed by roughing and finishing.
