Jack pays homage to the almost baroque design of filmmaker Tim Burton in his animated films, especially in “The Nightmare Before Christmas”. A swivel office chair, with the practicality and ergonomics provided by the hardware combined with the comfort generated by the sinuosity of the wood. The creation process follows the sequence of my sculptural creations, starting with exploratory sketches followed by modeling the piece in full scale for formal study. From the mold, the wood is cut, glued and pressed, followed by roughing and finishing.
