This piece arises from the desire to transpose into the environment of wood the formal research that I’ve been developing related to small animals, insects, arachnids among others. The beetle moves from the wood and metal engraving and tries to explore this new texture in a mime symbiosis with the material. The allusion to the Beatles is simple poetic freedom. The creation process begins with sketches followed by the modeling of the piece in a natural scale for study of ergonomics and shape. From the mold the wood is cut, glued and pressed, to then proceed to thinning and finishing.
