MOsquelha

MOsquelha is one of the pieces born as a an outspread of my work in engraving, whose strong theme developed revolves around the design of insects, arachnids and other small animals. This is the first little animal turned into something else of a series to come of other species turned into other kinds of utilitarian (or not so much) objects. The creation process begins with sketches followed by the modeling of the piece in a natural scale for study of ergonomics and shape. From the mold the wood is cut, glued and pressed, to then proceed to thinning and finishing.
